Modeling and Simulation of Excitation System for Synchronous Generator for Power System
Abstract
Synchronous generators play a role in the power system, and the performance of the generator can determine whether the power system can be safe and stable operation, so the need to control the motor through the excitation system performance. Through the use of MATLAB to grasp the performance of excitation control and research technology. The SIMULINK simulation software in MATLAB is used to analyze its characteristics. Using this software allows us to more quickly and easily calculate in a complex computing environment, you can save the energy to the root of the problem to solve the problem.
This paper introduces the characteristics and main functions of the synchronous generator excitation control system. The composition of the excitation control system is systematically introduced, and the principle of each component is also expounded accordingly. Finally, a mathematical model of synchronous generator excitation regulation system with PID and PSS as excitation control method is established. Simulation is carried out in SIMULINK environment, and good results are obtained. The simulation model of synchronous generator excitation system is established.
